The LeFlore Rattlers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Citronelle Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. LeFlore is out to stop a seven-game streak of losses at home.
Last Saturday, LeFlore was beaten by Rain 39-7. While losing is never fun, LeFlore can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 206th, while Rain is ranked 48th).
Even if they lost, LeFlore's defensive line still kept up the pressure with five sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Jeremiah Connolly and Montrell Scott who racked up four sacks between them.
Meanwhile, Citronelle fell victim to UMS-Wright Prep's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 24-0 walloping at the hands of the Bulldogs.
The losses dropped LeFlore to 1-7 and Citronelle to 4-4.
LeFlore might still be hurting after the 29-6 defeat they got from Citronelle in their previous matchup back in October of 2022. Will LeFlore have more luck at home instead of on the road?
