The Galloway Scots were the 58-55 winner over The Weber School Rams when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Galloway was just a bucket shy of victory on Thursday and fell 49-48 to The Weber School.
Despite the loss, Galloway still got an impressive performance from Vaughn Murphy, who scored 15 points along with 5 assists. Murphy scored a full 31.3% of Galloway's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of JB Clark, who scored 6 points along with 8 rebounds and 4 steals.
Galloway has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season. As for The Weber School, they pushed their record up to 2-6 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Galloway will challenge Hebron Christian at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Hebron Christian's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for The Weber School, they will head out on the road to face off against Arlington Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Arlington Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matches -- so hopefully The Weber School likes a good challenge.
