The Round Mountain Knights had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.2 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Wednesday. They skirted past Tonopah 43-40. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Round Mountain also won the last time the pair played back in January.
It was another big night for Keiran Swafford, who scored 25 points along with two steals. He hasn't dropped below two steals for 11 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Marquez Zamora, who scored six points along with 11 rebounds and six blocks.
Round Mountain is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. As for Tonopah, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.
Round Mountain will be playing at home against Beatty at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Round Mountain's favor as the team sits on six straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Beatty has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road. As for Tonopah, they will square off against Indian Springs on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Nevada (Tonopah is ranked 106th, while Indian Springs is ranked 110th).
