The Sotomayor WILDCATS will head out on the road to face off against the Warren Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sotomayor is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.
Last Saturday, Sotomayor was the victim of a tough 38-17 defeat at the hands of O'Connor.
The losing side was boosted by Henry Alonzo, who threw for 159 yards and two touchdowns.
Warren fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They walked away with a 21-10 victory over Stevens on Thursday.
Warren can attribute much of their success to Lorenzo Ramirez, who gained 100 total yards and a touchdown, and Trevion Mitchell, who rushed for 109 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries.
Another reason for the win was Warren's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for 13 sacks. It was a group effort, with five guys contributing.
Sotomayor now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Warren, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Sotomayor took a serious blow against Warren in their previous matchup back in November of 2022, falling 41-9. Can Sotomayor avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
