Interlachen's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kemontae Nixon led the charge by scoring eight points along with 15 rebounds. Nixon is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Ja'Marion Morris, who scored 13 points along with two steals.
Interlachen's win bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Crescent City, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Interlachen will challenge Union County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Crescent City, they will head out on the road to square off against Pine Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
