After flying high against the Rocky Mountain Prep SMART Ocelotls last Monday, the Stargate School Eagles came back down to earth. Peak to Peak was led to victory by Alexandra Eschmeyer and Megan Wagner. Eschmeyer scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and four blocks, while Wagner scored 22 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wagner has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Charley Miller, who scored two points along with five assists and three steals.
Stargate School has been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season. As for Peak to Peak, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-3.
Stargate School will head out on the road to square off against Eagle Ridge Academy at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Eagle Ridge Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Thursday. As for Peak to Peak, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Colorado Academy at 4:00 p.m. Peak to Peak is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
