Oceanside posted their biggest victory since December 12, 2023 on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Morse 96-63 on the road. Given Oceanside's advantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked sixth, while Morse is ranked 89th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Oceanside to victory, but perhaps none more so than Carter Galley, who dropped a double-double on 31 points and 15 rebounds. Galley is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Cohen Galley, who scored 25 points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Lincoln Academy made easy work of Winslow on Friday and carried off a 54-34 victory. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Lincoln Academy has scored all season.
Oceanside's win bumped their record up to 12-0. As for Lincoln Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 9-2.
Everything came up roses for Oceanside against Lincoln Academy in their previous meeting last Friday as the team secured a 95-68 win. Will Oceanside repeat their success, or does Lincoln Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
