Watauga extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Caroline Childers. The Pioneers were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Providence Panthers on Saturday with plenty of help from Childers, who had 20 digs and six aces. She has been hot for a while, having posted 11 or more digs the last 11 times she's played.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-14, 25-19.

Leading Watauga to victory were Lilli Combs and Ashlyn Smith. Combs had 11 digs and one assist, while Smith hit 87.5% for seven kills and nine digs and five aces. Those 87.5% hitting percentage gave Smith a new career-high.

They weren't the only good server: Watauga was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Watauga's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Providence, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Watauga will venture away from home to take on Hickory at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Providence, they will head out to challenge Butler at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
