Laney entered their tilt with West Brunswick on Friday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They never let the Trojans get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The Buccaneers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by eight runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Layla Carr, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Sydney Short was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Laney pushed their record up to 10-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for West Brunswick, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.
