The Brevig Mission Huskies had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past Hogarth Kingeekuk Sr. Memorial 65-22 on the road. With Brevig Mission ahead 34-12 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Leading Brevig Mission to victory were Mary Bruns and Ashley Olanna. Bruns scored 26 points, while Olanna scored 26 points. Molly Adams was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Brevig Mission's win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-0. As for Hogarth Kingeekuk Sr. Memorial, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-1.
Brevig Mission does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Hogarth Kingeekuk Sr. Memorial also has no future games currently scheduled.
