On Saturday, Alhambra was able to grind out a solid win over Livermore, taking the game 53-46.
Alhambra got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Geo Alber out in front who scored 17 points along with three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Alber has scored at least 25% of Alhambra's points. Samuel Gillaspy was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with four steals.
Alhambra is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. As for Livermore, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-8.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Antioch the next time they take the court. Livermore will host Antioch at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Alhambra will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
