Florence has gone a perfect 10-0 against Ingram Moore recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Buffaloes will be playing at home against the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Florence has struggled recently with five defeats in a row, while Ingram Moore will arrive with six straight victories.
Florence came up short against Blanco on Friday, falling 18-1.
Meanwhile, Ingram Moore hadn't done well against Llano recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Warriors put the hurt on the Yellowjackets with a sharp 20-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won eight contests by ten runs or more so far this season.
Kylie Traub made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring four runs while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances.
In other batting news, Priscilla Cancino was incredible, going 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, three doubles, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. McKenna McClintock was another key player, going 2-for-5 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Ingram Moore was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .441. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .316 or higher in five consecutive matchups.
Ingram Moore's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-11. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.3 runs over those games. As for Florence, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9.
Florence beat Ingram Moore 16-13 when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Will the Buffaloes repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
