Southeast's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Camryn Sanders, who scored 13 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sanders has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Eliz White, who scored two points along with six steals.
Riverton is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 5-6 record this season. As for Southeast, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 7-5.
Riverton won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Columbus at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Kansas (Columbus is ranked 218th, while Riverton is ranked 227th).
