The contest between both teams wasn't particularly close, with Pinson Valley falling 74-57. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Monday (55), they still had to take the loss.
Despite the defeat, Pinson Valley saw an underclassman step up: Clyde Walters scored 20 points along with five rebounds. Walters scored a full 35.1% of Pinson Valley's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Austin Coner, who scored 14 points.
Pinson Valley struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hamilton Heights Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kevin De Kovachich , who scored 17 points along with eight assists and six rebounds. The contest was De Kovachich 's third in a row with at least ten points. Vito Perkovic was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Pinson Valley's loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Hamilton Heights Christian Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-2.
Pinson Valley won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Ben Davis on December 22nd. Hamilton Heights Christian Academy will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Miller Career Academy at 6:30 p.m. on December 22nd. Miller Career Academy is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.
