Princeton Gordon was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds. Aidan Haluszka was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with two steals.
When it comes to explaining why Boone lost, one person who can't be blamed is Cheo James. Despite the final result, he scored 23 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. James continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Erik Boyer, who scored two points along with two steals.
Lake Brantley pushed their record up to 15-5 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.9 points per game. As for Boone, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-9.
Lake Brantley will be playing at home against Central Florida Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Central Florida Christian Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Boone's road trip will continue as they head out to face Lake Howell at 5:00 p.m. on January 26th. One thing working in Lake Howell's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matchups.
