Adding to the longest winning streak in Centennial this week, Manhattan beat Topeka 22-7. The victory was the sixth in a row for the team.
Shawnee Heights took down Highland Park 48-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, the Thunderbirds' Taymon Grabauskas and Austen Hubert have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-2 quarterback Grabauskas has thrown for 1,151 yards this season, while Hubert has 23 catches for 457 yards. Michael Singer from Washburn Rural leads the league in rushing with 508 yards.
The Blues' offense has scored 149 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while Manhattan has allowed only 73 on the year.
As it stands, the Trojans are in first, while Junction City/St. Xavier is in fourth.
The Bluejays made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 3,010 from 3,610. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 42-35 victory over Washburn Rural last week.
