The victory was nothing new for the Wildcats as they're now sitting on five straight.
Luke Martin was incredible, scoring five runs and stealing Three bases. while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. Those five runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tucker Wilcutt, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI and two runs.
Oakman always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .727. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Indian Springs only posted an OBP of .318.
Oakman's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-5. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 12.7 runs. As for Indian Springs, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oakman will take on Corner at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Indian Springs, they will square off against St. Bernard Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Indian Springs is facing St. Bernard Prep at the right time seeing as St. Bernard Prep is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
