The Clyde-Savannah Golden Eagles came tearing into  Friday's  game with eight straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 36.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victor by a  34-14 margin over Dryden. The result was nothing new for Clyde-Savannah, who have now won six matches by 20  points or more  so far this season.
 Clyde-Savannah was led to victory by  Zymere Smith and  John Whitfield.  Smith rushed for 176 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.3 yards per carry, while  Whitfield rushed for 149 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries. Smith hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for eight straight games.  Aidan Van Duyne also helped out with an impressive 91  receiving yards.
 Dryden's lost  despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being   Jay Miles, who rushed for 132 yards and  a touchdown on only 15 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of  Brendan Williams, who rushed for 63 yards and  a touchdown.
 Even if they lost, Dryden's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. Leading the way was  Aidan Davis and his two sacks.
 Clyde-Savannah's win was  their fourth straight at home , which  pushed their record up to 8-2. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-10 South Seneca and 1-6 Mynderse Academy (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 30% over those games). As for Dryden, they are  on a three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 5-5.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clyde-Savannah will take on Whitman at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Dryden, they will be playing at home against Deposit-Hancock at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another  in New York (Deposit-Hancock is ranked 413th, while Dryden is ranked 404th).
