The Geneva Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Jefferson Area Falcons at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Geneva will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
Geneva proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by 21) but on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Perry 53-50. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Geneva has posted yet this season.
Meanwhile, Jefferson Area strolled past Harvey with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 67-51.
Geneva pushed their record up to 10-2 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Jefferson Area, the win got them back to even at 5-5.
Geneva was able to grind out a solid victory over Jefferson Area when the teams last played back in December of 2022, winning 74-63. The rematch might be a little tougher for Geneva since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
