Western entered their tilt with Doral Academy Red Rock on Thursday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 48-20 win over the Doral Academy Red Rock Dragons. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 28 points or more this season.

Western got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Laila Lwaba out in front who posted 18 points and seven steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Lwaba has scored at least a third of Western's points. Another player making a difference was Kyra Pace, who earned eight points in addition to 16 rebounds and six assists.

Western smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Despite the defeat, Doral Academy Red Rock had strong showings from Jasmine Brown, who put up six points, and Taylor Jacobsen, who had four points.

Western pushed their record up to 11-6 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.2 points per game. As for Doral Academy Red Rock, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12.
