There's no place like home for the Asheboro Hybrid Academy Warriors, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Monday. They came out on top against Rockwell Christian School on Thursday by a score of 31-25 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). For Asheboro Hybrid Academy, this counts as revenge for the 42-23 loss Rockwell Christian School walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2023.
Among those leading the charge was Emily West, who scored 15 points.
Despite the loss, Rockwell Christian School saw an underclassman step up: Cambrie Perry scored 12 points.
Asheboro Hybrid Academy's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-10. As for Rockwell Christian School, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-9.
Asheboro Hybrid Academy and Sheets Memorial Christian will face off at 3:30 p.m. on February 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Sheets Memorial Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Thursday. As for Rockwell Christian School, they will head out on the road to challenge Southview Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
