The South Pointe Stallions will be playing in front of their home fans against the Indian Land Warriors at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: South Pointe has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while the Warriors will arrive with three straight wins.
South Pointe pushed their score all the way to 56 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 66-56 to Lancaster. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Saturday (55), South Pointe still had to take the loss.
Indian Land proved they can win big on Monday (they won by 40) but on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged Northwestern out 53-50. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Indian Land has posted since December 13, 2023.
Indian Land's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sequel Patterson, who scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Michael Jones, who scored 20 points.
South Pointe's defeat dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Indian Land, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.
South Pointe was taken down by the Warriors 75-44 in their previous matchup back in January. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point South Pointe was down 40-16.
