The Arcadia Titans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 69-54 to St. Mary. Arcadia has not had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why Arcadia lost, one person who can't be blamed is Tianna Knighton. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 44 points and ten rebounds. That was a full 81.5% of Arcadia's points, marking the 19th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Hope Kouadio was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with 12 rebounds and two steals.
Even though they lost, Arcadia smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
St. Mary's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Alondra Reyes, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Sierras, who scored 21 points.
Arcadia has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-17 record this season. As for St. Mary's, their victory bumped their record up to 9-12.
Arcadia does not have any more games scheduled as of now. St. Mary's also has no future games currently scheduled.
