Mahopac came tearing into Friday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.7 points), and they left with even more momentum. Their defense stepped up to hand the John Jay Wolves a 25-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 19-6 last Monday.

Mahopac pushed their record up to 12-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 4.7 points on average over those games. As for John Jay, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.
