St. Francis's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They blew past the Montini Catholic Broncos 9-2. Considering the Spartans have won 17 matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

St. Francis has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 19 of their last 20 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.6 runs over those games. As for Montini Catholic, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-14 record this season.

St. Francis will take on Marian Central Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Montini Catholic will be paying especially close attention to the Spartans' matchup: after the Spartans face off against the Hurricanes, they'll take on Montini Catholic again at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
