It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Wesclin Warriors can now relate to. They were the victim of a rough 55-31 defeat at the hands of the Crusaders on Saturday. Wesclin has struggled against Althoff Catholic recently, as their matchup on Saturday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Althoff Catholic got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Anna Brewer out in front who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Emilee Travnicek, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds.
Wesclin dropped their record down to 15-17 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Althoff Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-11 record this season.
Wesclin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Althoff Catholic, they will square off against Nashville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Althoff Catholic is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
