On Friday, Oconto is packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Roncalli at 7:00 PM. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Oconto made easy work of Rosholt last Friday and carried off a 33-6 win.
Meanwhile, Roncalli took care of business in their home opener. They steamrollered St. Joseph 40-0. Roncalli was expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Their wins bumped Oconto to 1-0 and Roncalli to 1-0. With both Roncalli and Oconto swaggering in after impressive performances, it will be interesting to see which team steps up to teach the other some humility.
