Despite the loss, Floodwood still got an impressive performance from Deacon Laine, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Laine has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonah Spindler, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia]'s victory ended a eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-14. As for Floodwood, they dropped their record down to 0-13 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight at home.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia] will take on Swanville at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Floodwood, they will head out on the road to face off against Cook County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Minnesota (Cook County is ranked 409th, while Floodwood is ranked 432nd).
