Baseball Recap: Moore Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Moore put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Western Warriors by a score of 8-4. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Mustangs also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Katel Dutan made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. Dutan was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.

In other batting news, Diego Pupo was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Isaac Northern was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Moore pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average this season. As for Western, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Moore and Western will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time Moore sees the field they'll take on Atherton at 5:30 p.m. on April 7. As for Western, their break will end when they face Brown at 5:30 p.m. on April 8.
