Quinton Hilliard had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 114 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries. The dominant performance gave him a new career- in rushing yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Maxie, who rushed for 154 yards on only 14 carries.
Byrd's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged three passes before it was all said and done. It was truly a group effort as James Logan, Kaidan Abraham-Miller, and Cameron Evans picked up one apiece.
Meanwhile, after only seven points in their last matchup, Haughton made sure to put some points up on the board against Homer on Friday. Haughton narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Homer 48-46.
