Softball Recap: South Carroll Beats Century for Their Fourth Straight Win

South Carroll waltzed into their game on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They beat the Century Knights by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 11-2. The result was nothing new for the Cavaliers, who have now won eight matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Macie Bell spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on seven hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Addy Rodrigues and Alayna Enoff did most of the damage at the plate: Rodrigues went 2-for-3 with three runs and one stolen base, while Enoff went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one stolen base. Myla Bell was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one double.

South Carroll's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-3. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games. As for Century, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

South Carroll has already played their next game (against Manchester Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Century, they will be playing at home against Governor Thomas Johnson at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
