Magee was averaging 35.69 points per game entering their game on Friday, but they just couldn't find their rhythm against Columbia. Magee was dealt a punishing 35 to nothing loss at the hands of Columbia. The lax defense was uncharacteristic for the Trojans, who until this matchup were averaging 13.15 points allowed.
It might not have been close, but the contest didn't lack excitement. Columbia's sophomore Joshua Brown penetrated the defense for a 60-yard TD rush in the third quarter.
The defeat dropped the Trojans' record to 10-4. The victory for the Wildcats kept them a perfect 13-0.
Magee's playoff loss brings an end to their season. As for Columbia, they will face off against Bassfield next week.
