Stanton had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Sidney Cowboys with a sharp 12-6 victory. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by six runs or more this season.

Stanton pushed their record up to 8-7 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Sidney, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-10-1.

Stanton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 4-3 loss against East Mills on the 26th. Hopefully Sidney paid attention to the Vikings' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
