Basketball Recap: Tennessee Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Keeyanah Foote and Jasmine Jones

Tennessee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. The match between them and the West Ridge Wolves didn't end well, with the Tennessee Vikings falling 59-41. The Vikings were probably out for revenge after losing 77-75 to them when the teams met back in December of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, Tennessee had strong showings from Jasmine Jones, who almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine rebounds, and Keeyanah Foote, who posted nine points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. Those 21 points gave Jones a new career-high.

Tennessee's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for West Ridge, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tennessee will take on Cocke County in a tournament on Thursday. As for West Ridge, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Greeneville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Ridge is facing Greeneville at the right time seeing as Greeneville is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
