McArthur took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-6 win over the Dr. Krop Lightning. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Lightning recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
Caleb Kronen looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Dylan Dess, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. Isnedit Fernandez was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two doubles.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McArthur will take on Chaminade-Madonna at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Dr. Krop, they will head out to face off against Nova at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
