It was a good run, but the Kathleen Red Devils unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 60-53 to Seffner Christian. Kathleen has not had much luck with Seffner Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Despite the loss, Kathleen still got an impressive performance from Amaya Shaw, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Shaw has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Haley Roper was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five rebounds.
Kathleen's loss ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 17-7. As for Seffner Christian, their win bumped their record up to 18-4.
Kathleen does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Seffner Christian and Gibbs will face off at 8:00 p.m. on January 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Gibbs will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
