Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Belle Chasse to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alex Richardson, who scored 16 points along with three steals. Those 16 points set a new season-high mark for him. Maddux Parfait was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with six rebounds.
Belle Chasse's win bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Pearl River, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost nine of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.
Belle Chasse and South Plaquemines will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The timing isn't great for South Plaquemines: they have been struggling with four straight losses at home, while Belle Chasse has snatched up five consecutive wins on the road. Pearl River will take on Sarah T. Reed at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
