It was a good run, but Firestone unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They lost 8-2 to the Sandy Valley Cardinals. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Falcons couldn't push the score so high this time.

Firestone saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brennen Hostler, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Firestone's loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Sandy Valley, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-12.

Looking ahead, Firestone will head out on the road to face off against Buchtel at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Falcons are facing the Griffins at the right time seeing as the Griffins are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Sandy Valley, they will host Hiland at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
