Itasca had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Frost Polar Bears with a sharp 13-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Wampus Cats, who have now won nine games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Buddy Jackson was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Dawson Mears was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Itasca always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .595. The last time their OBP was this high was back in February.

Itasca's record is now 10-2. As for Frost, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2-1.

Itasca will have a chance to go back-to-back against Frost: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
