The Fullerton Indians will square off against the Valencia Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Fullerton has three straight wins, Valencia has eight straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Fullerton will bounce into Thursday's matchup after beating Sunny Hills, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Indians sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 35-33 victory over the Lancers on Thursday.

Fullerton's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Caden Wise, who gained 51 total yards, and Evan Tellez-Soria, who rushed for 81 yards and one TD. Those 81 rushing yards gave Tellez-Soria a new career-high.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Fullerton was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 203 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 170 rushing yards in six consecutive games.
Another reason for the win was Fullerton's imposing defensive line, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Nathan Vejar refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5 sacks all by himself.
Meanwhile, Valencia lost to Beckman at home by a 45-27 margin on Friday. The Tigers gained 147 more yards on the day, but it was the Patriots that made the best use of them.
Fullerton will have to keep a close watch on Louis Galvan and Tyler Campos, a pair of players who had a big impact on Valencia's prior game. Galvan rushed for 114 yards and one score on only 14 carries, while Campos rushed for 85 yards and one touchdown on only five carries.
Fullerton's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Valencia, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.
