Warrior Run is 2-8 against South Williamsport since May of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Defenders will welcome the Mounties at 4:30 p.m. Warrior Run is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games.
The scorekeeper got an easy start on Wednesday as neither Warrior Run nor Bloomsburg made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Defenders were the clear victors by a 12-3 margin over the Panthers. The result was nothing new for the Defenders, who have now won seven matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Landon Tillson made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits (and only one walk). Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
In other batting news, Cohen Zechman was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Jackson Bowers, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two RBI.
Warrior Run always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .537. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bloomsburg only posted an OBP of .333.
South Williamsport let North Schuylkill stack six runs on them in the seventh inning on Monday but luckily South Williamsport prevailed anyway. The Mounties had just enough and edged out the Spartans 8-7. That's two games straight that the Mounties have won by just one run.
South Williamsport's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Kamdyn Bubb, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run. Levi Butler was another, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
South Williamsport's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Warrior Run, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Warrior Run has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.6 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like South Williamsport struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Warrior Run beat South Williamsport 4-1 in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Do the Defenders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mounties turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
