Sadly, the High Point Eagles are still looking for their first win of the season after 18 games. They took a 62-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of Northwestern on Tuesday. High Point has struggled against Northwestern recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ibrahim Turay, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. Turay has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last seven times he's played. Kadan Solomonraj was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds.
High Point dropped their record down to 0-18 with that defeat, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Northwestern, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-11.
High Point will take on DuVal at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully High Point focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 29 on Tuesday. As for Northwestern, they will head out on the road to square off against Bladensburg at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bladensburg has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
