Ninety Six came tearing into Wednesday's matchup with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over the Abbeville Panthers. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won eight contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Ninety Six's record is now 12-6. As for Abbeville, they dropped their record down to 9-6 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ninety Six will head out to take on Strom Thurmond at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Abbeville, they will venture away from home to face off against Dixie at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
