Timberline was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat. They fell 49-37 to the Clearwater Valley Rams. One positive for the Spartans, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.
Clearwater Valley found their leader in freshman Sypress Martinez, who went 9 of 15 on her way to 21 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Martinez has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jayleigh Wellard, who posted nine points.
Timberline's loss dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Clearwater Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 9-11.
Timberline won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Orofino at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Timberline has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Clearwater Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
