Volleyball Recap: Poly's Winning Streak Snapped at Six Games

After a string of six wins, Poly's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the Claremont Wolfpack by a score of 2-1. The Bears were not able to make up for their loss to the Wolfpack from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Poly actually scored more points across those three sets (59-50), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 10-25, 25-22, 15-12.

Poly's defeat dropped their record down to 13-3. As for Claremont, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

Poly is on the road again on Saturday to play Hillcrest at 1:00 p.m. The last three games Hillcrest has played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Claremont, they will face off against Chino Hills at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Chino Hills will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Claremont surely won't give up without a fight.
