It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Yale Bulldogs can now relate to. They took a 40-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Whippets on Friday. Yale's defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
Despite the loss, Yale still got an impressive performance from Cornelius Prather, who threw for 317 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.9 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 87 yards and a touchdown. Another player making a difference was Conner Elliott, who picked up 103 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Yale's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Okeene, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.
Yale does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Okeene will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Velma-Alma. One thing working in Velma-Alma's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 11 contests.
