The Tecumseh Braves will take on the Vincennes Lincoln Alices at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Tecumseh played in-conference for the first time on Thursday and got just the result they were looking for. They came out on top against Washington by a score of 8-5. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Braves.
Mason Gogel made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. He is becoming a predictor of Tecumseh's success: when he allows at most two earned runs the team is 2-1 (and 1-3 when he doesn't). Gogel was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other pitching news, Cameron Roth looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Thomas Pemberton, who went 3-for-4 with three runs. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.
Meanwhile, Vincennes Lincoln had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Panthers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Alices have posted since May 16, 2024.
Like Tecumseh, Vincennes Lincoln also got a great game from a two-way player: Brady Anderson. He struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits (and only one walk). Anderson was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, Cooper Collins was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one triple. That triple was his first of the season.
Vincennes Lincoln pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Tecumseh, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.
Tecumseh suffered a grim 8-1 defeat to Vincennes Lincoln when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Will the Braves have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other baseball content.
