The Fullerton Indians will face off against the Kennedy Fighting Irish at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.
Kennedy will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Fullerton extended their winning streak to three on Friday. The Indians' pitcher stepped up to hand Segerstrom a 6-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won nine games by six runs or more so far this season.

The result came thanks to Katelynn Mathews's shutout, as she gave up just three hits and racked up 15 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ava Flores, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run. Melia Vera was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs.
Fullerton hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in five consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Kennedy entered their tilt with Garden Grove on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Argonauts 11-1. That's two games straight that the Fighting Irish have won by exactly ten runs.
Emory Cheng made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and not a single walk). Cheng was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with four RBI and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Natalie Headley was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs and one RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Katie Torrez, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Fullerton's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-7. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Kennedy, their victory bumped their record up to 10-14.
Fullerton skirted past Kennedy 1-0 in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Will the Indians repeat their success, or do the Fighting Irish have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
