Baseball Recap: Watkins Memorial Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Watkins Memorial won the last time they faced Johnstown-Monroe and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Warriors walked away with a 6-2 win over the Johnnies. The victory was nothing new for the Warriors as they're now sitting on four straight.

Watkins Memorial got a great performance from Brody Kemmerling as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over six innings pitched.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Trent Johnson, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Vincent, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases.

Watkins Memorial pushed their record up to 5-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Johnstown-Monroe, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-2.
