Given their disadvantage in the MaxPreps state rankings, Shelton should expect quite the challenge on Friday. They will look to defend their home turf against Timberline at 7:00 PM. Shelton come in off of four low-scoring performances in a row, a trend the squad is obviously eager to reverse.
There's no need to mince words: Shelton lost to Central Kitsap last Friday, and they lost bad. The score wound up at 0-50. Shelton were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-23.
Meanwhile, Timberline fought the good fight in their overtime contest but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They and Peninsula were almost perfectly matched up, but they suffered an agonizing 27-28 loss. Timberline's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
